Talking Whisky Bottles

Parker Williams has designed new packaging for premium whisky brand Ballantine’s Finest, which creates an illusion of the movement of light across the bottle by using electroluminescent technology.

Mission Deli Wraps

Mission Deli Wraps have teamed up with two brands giving customers 30p off Sacla Pesto and 50p off Galbani ® Mozzarella, plus a chance to win a Mediterranean holiday.

The fix-a-form sticker allows them keep costs down by not having to redesign the pack, but it doesn’t have much stand out at all.

They also seem shy about letting people know they have a holiday up for grabs, as its really very small. Inside, it gives a nice little recipe idea for each of the products, which as well as
the money off could entice the customer into purchasing the discounted product.

The online creative which supports the competition is a lot more vibrant. Its a shame this isn’t carried onto the pack. They also sneak another free giveaway online when you enter, giving you the chance to win Mission Lunch packs every week. Very generous these Mission lot!

Mahiki Coconut Bottle

The design of the bottle really jumps out off the shelf at you. It's immediately engaged and makes the consumer want to pick up the bottle to find out what it is. It is the product of a night club by the same name in Dover St London. The design really captures the excitement and atmosphere of the club and sets it self up as a real party, social drink.

Maltesers - A different interpretation

A nice interpretation for new Maltesers packaging, by
student Stephanie Kronenberg. From her website, she
says “It’s based on the paintings from Ecuadorian artist
Gonzalo Endara Crow, and the idea is to show the
lightness of the chocolates by making them as floating
objects such as balloons in this surrealist world”.

The strongest point is the billboard idea, with the 3D elements ‘breaking the frame’ and floating off the top edge.

Tetley's Gondola End Display

Tetley's Gondola End Display of never ending beer pouring from a can into a glass. It's made from fibreglass and clear resin. It could work well for other beverage brands.

Staedtler

Staedtler have created this nice product specific CTU.
Not sure which came first but it’s a very similar style to the D&AD pencils…

The idea and it’s implementation is nicely done, although it’s normal placement makes it slightly harder to get to as it was behind the scanner, card handset and other POS pieces. It fits well with the brand, which has been consistent with this style
for many years.

Lego at Christmas

Lego created a large scale advent calendar in Covent Garden (with everything made of Lego – including the themed figurines behind each door) to promote the creativity behind the product in the run up to Christmas.

The concept worked well as they could get repeat visits for the newly revealed model each day, and obviously the hope was that it would inspire kids to see what they could create and drive them (and their lovely parents who hold the cash) to the store.

The only problem was the lack of promotion that was there!

Malteaster

Mesh Malteaster 5 Count HOD. The POS has great standout in store but it’s a shame their large yellow price sheets hide some of the creative.

Unfortunately neither of the panels to the unit could be viewed and it’s a shame we loose some of the creative because of this. Fortunately the dye-cutting to the header is a strong feature and it's slightly more interesting then the simple Cadbury Cream Egg unit.

TENNENTS Limited Edition Glasses

Lager giants Tennent’s have paid tribute to Scotland’s cities with a set of iconic pint glasses. The limited edition glass is emblazoned with the warmth, wit and wisdom of the Scottish people and marks the culmination of Tennent’s latest campaign to celebrate St Andrew’s Day.

It shows that Scots are proud of their national treasures – from the ‘The Big Yin’, the ‘squadrons of midges’ and the ‘Tartan Army’ to the famous ‘Hampden Roar’ and of course, ‘T in the Paaarrk!’.

The design of each glass was left in the hands of the public, who contributed via Facebook.

Lynx Final Edition ILP

To link in with the Noah’s Ark themed ATL, experiential Lynx have produced this really nice ILP with a vac-formed plastic plinth and a cardboard ark centrepiece.

This creates a nice bit of on-shelf theatre, with it's instantly recognizable ark tying back into the TV ad. The gold branding really stands out at either end.
The product is displayed really nicely, without being overcrowded and the ark certainly adds to the piece rather than being a waste of valuable shelf space.
The only negative is the back board that doesn’t really tie in to the shelf, though this does mean it can become a standalone piece if needs be.

Mesh's Hobbit Headers

Looking great in the cinema!
